Josue came to Roatán as an 8-year-old kid , knowing only Spanish . At that time, the island was very different from what visitors see today. Tourism was just beginning to grow, and cruise ships were not yet bringing the thousands of visitors that now arrive each year. As a young boy, Josue became curious about the visitors coming from the United States . Wanting to communicate with them and help them explore the island, he began learning English little by little while guiding and helping tourists .
