Josue came to Roatán as an 8-year-old kid, knowing only Spanish. At that time, the island was very different from what visitors see today. Tourism was just beginning to grow, and cruise ships were not yet bringing the thousands of visitors that now arrive each year.

As a young boy, Josue became curious about the visitors coming from the United States. Wanting to communicate with them and help them explore the island, he began learning English little by little while guiding and helping tourists. By talking with visitors every day, he practiced the language, learned about different cultures, and discovered every corner of Roatán.

Over the years, Josue watched the island grow and develop from the very beginning of tourism. He saw the changes in the communities, the beaches, the roads, and the many attractions that now make Roatán one of the Caribbean’s most popular cruise destinations.

Because of this lifetime of experience, Josue doesn’t just know the main tourist spots—he knows the history, the people, the hidden places, and the real culture of the island.

What started as a young boy helping visitors became a lifelong passion. Today, through Let’s Go Roatan Tours, Josue and his team offer authentic local tours that allow guests to experience the best of the island—beautiful beaches, wildlife encounters, local food, island culture, and unforgettable adventures.

Double bookings in one day with Josue Elias Mejia Santos

My brother (Jose Samuel Mejia Santos) and I (Josue Elias Mejia Santos) started the company LET’S GO ROATAN TOURS in the beginning of the year 2008. It was two days later after my wife’s birthday August the 6th that I started working at   Gumbalimba Monkey Park, we all weren’t using Facebook very much as we are now, So my brother was hustling the streets like everybody else but in the year 2016 I had to leave Gumbalimba Park and started working in our own company Let’s Go Roatan Tours so I started posting on Facebook.
